A significant question asked is how architecture and creating buildings ties into climate change and creating a cleaner planet. Introducing, the Urban Lung! "The Urban Lung is is a bio-climatic tower that sequesters carbon through locally sourced materials, whilst adhering to passive design principles that allow the building to breathe both metaphorically through the embodied carbon from local timbers and physically through the full height air purifying atrium" according to Ryan Gormley - the author of the article "The Urban Lung: Timber Skyscraper." The purpose of this climate friendly building is to represent a example of a reduced carbon construction and have a way to practice using sustainable materials. Here are some examples of the model of the Urban Lung.
